First, if you love the gym, we are not the place for you. Our motivation is the outdoors. Our purpose is to build physical practices that maximizes your preparedness. Whether it’s for your profession, sport or simply life.

While it is not required, it is encouraged. One of the assessment benefits is finding out how big or, how small your fitness base is. Building a broad base is highly recommended before diving into any sport specific program.

Absolutely. We will modify the current program or design a separate one. There are cases when we recommend private over group training. If this is the case, we will let you know at your initial assessment.

The differences are vast. We employ some of the same exercises but that’s where it ends. For us, the gym is a tool, not our sport. Our programs are designed in advance with the larger picture in mind.

Yes. Adding a well planned, purposeful strength training program to your schedule will change your life. You’ll move more efficiently, be harder to ‘break’ and gain an increased confidence in your capabilities.

Everyone has different goals and needs. How often you attend depends on yours. Part of what we do is guide you through seasons, changes and help keep you on a path of getting better each day.

We believe that 3-4 gym training days are enough for most athletes. While there are exceptions to this, for most it applies. Your body doesn’t differentiate between physical and life stress. Too much and you’ll find yourself needing more recovery time. The chances of getting injured are also significantly greater. Ironically, the same can happen when you don’t train at all.

A balanced approach. Quality proteins, carbohydrates and healthy fats are all a part of this approach. Another integral component of ‘healthy eating’ is a healthy narrative. If someone is too consumed by food choices, it becomes just as harmful as not caring about what you consume.
